Students, faculty, parents and members of the community spent this weekend Deep in the Heart of Dallas.

Homecoming weekend kicked-off with the Hoe Down, Throw Down in the John and Mary Metz Dining Hall. Students were able to dance the night away in their country garb.

The weekend continued with various events such as the Redneck Roundup Talent Show hosted by alumni Barry Snyder and Nick DeStefano. Various performers took the stage to see who had the best talent in the Back Mountain. Students danced, juggled, cracked jokes and sang into the night. Seniors James Miller and Kylie Fagnano were crowned the weekend's Homecoming King and Queen.

Saturday morning started with the Rootin' Tootin' Parade. The Commuter Council float was awarded the top float of the parade. Commuters fashioned a float equipped with cacti and horses.

Homecoming concluded with the MU Rodeo and Wild West Casino Night. Mechanical bull-riding, log balance competition and vendors were set-up on the lawn in front of Banks Student Life Center.
